SLEEP MANAGEMENT ACUPUNCTURE (insomnia)

Medical acupuncture influences the circadian rhythm (day & night rythm), targeting specific points associated with sleep regulation to reset and balance natural sleep patterns. It enhances melatonin production, promoting hormonal balance and activates the parasympathetic nervous system to support the body’s sleep processes.
Insomnia is often linked to stress, anxiety, and an overactive mind. Acupuncture can promote relaxation and reduce stress by modulating the nervous system. The insertion of acupuncture needles at key points triggers the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters, leading to a sense of calm and tranquility conducive to sleep. We are also activating our parasympathetic nervous system, wich calms the mind. Following traditional Chinese medicine principles, acupuncture balances the body’s energy flow (Qi).
Acupuncture has been found to enhance sleep quality by promoting deeper and more restful sleep. Individuals who undergo acupuncture treatments often report waking up feeling more refreshed and rejuvenated, with fewer interruptions during the night.
Treatments involve inserting sterile needles at specific points (Mainly extremities and ears), leave the needles for 20-30 minutes, sometimes using electricity or press-needles (intradermal plaster), to go home with, for extended effect and home stimulation.
Typically, a treatment period comprises 5-10 sessions (once or twice a week), tailored to individual needs. After a treatment period we usually recommend booster sessions every 2-6 month to keep the effect.
